Blame Bill Gates for your bad and cold Maccas chips...
Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, has indeed diversified his investments into agriculture. With nearly 275,000 acres of farmland across the U.S., one can say that this is very diversified. He owns among others 100 Circle Farms in Washington state, cultivating potatoes that McDonald's buys for its signature French fries.
Aside from agricultural investments, Gates has the elite Gold Card from McDonald's, an all-access meal pass from any McDonald's outlet globally. It is issued to but a few privileged people including Warren Buffett and actor Rob Lowe.
The investments demonstrate Gates' savvy business nature as he ties sectors in technology, agriculture, and hospitality. Such diversification indicates flexibility and creativity across these industries.
