Haus Creative is joining Team RANT and brings a history of community and cultural development and quality art programs, activities and outcomes including:
- School Holiday Programs in the Arts, including writers workshops, music, visual and performing arts.

- Art Therapy Workshops
- Workshop Space Hire
- Art Markets and Showcases
- Art and Music Mentoring
- Employment (casual) of Artists in Art and Music to assist in running workshops and events, hanging exhibitions, performing).
- Emerging Artist Night (currently on hold due to Covid.)

Operating since 2016, Haus Creative is a multi purpose arts hub that caters to the alternative arts needs within the Devonport area, and we are committed to the following:

🎤✨ Our Singing Academy students have been having a fantastic time learning, singing and building their skills throughout Term 3!

From warm-ups, breath work and marching exercises to exploring pitch, harmonies and rhythm, students have been developing their voices while having plenty of fun along the way 🎶💛

This term has also seen our singers take on songs including *Walk Like an Egyptian*, *Hallelujah*, *Hit the Road Jack* and a North Tasmania-inspired sea shanty remix! 🌊🎵

It’s been wonderful watching their confidence grow as they sing together and explore new techniques! ✨

This term, they’ve been exploring new acting techniques, building their confidence and developing their performance skills through character work, tension exercises and scripts 🎬💛

🎭✨ Our Stage 3 Acting class has been building on their performance skills throughout Term 3, revisiting the work of Uta Hagen and exploring Jacques Lecoq’s levels of tension 🌟

Students have been developing their understanding of character, physicality and performance before putting their skills into practice with short scripts written by Layla! 🎬✨ These scripts will be used in our upcoming self-tape film sessions, giving our young actors the opportunity to explore acting for camera and bring their characters to life.

✏️🎨 Our Art Extension class has been finding inspiration in the current exhibition at RANT Arts, the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists: Ruby Jubilee Collection, celebrating IAPMA’s 40th Anniversary! 🖼️✨

The students explored the artworks on display before creating their own paper-inspired pieces, experimenting with texture, shape and colour while putting their own creative spin on the exhibition’s ideas. 🎨💭

We love seeing our young artists engage with exhibitions and use them as a starting point for their own creative ideas! 💛

🎨✨ Our Haus Creative FunDamental Arts Class has been getting creative and building their skills throughout Term 3! 🖌️🌈

In this lesson, the group used white gouache to create and outline base designs before layering colour over the top. 🎨 The finished pieces will become their very own display folders to showcase their future artworks! 📁✨

We love seeing our young artists create something that they can continue to fill with their creativity throughout the year! 💛

🎭✨ Our Stage 2 Acting class has been diving deeper into their performance skills throughout Term 3, with a focus on emotion, projection, articulation and characterisation through exploring and performing monologues 🌟

We’ve been working on bringing characters to life, developing vocal clarity and learning how to communicate emotion and intention through performance 🎤✨

Our students also had a very special visit from Spryte Adventures to feature in one of her YouTube episodes! 💛 They had the chance to put their improv skills into practice through activities like What Are You Doing? and Alphabet Duo, before teaching Spryte some basic acting techniques 🎭

To finish off this very special session, our students helped Spryte perform a monologue written by one of our own students, Ada! ✨ It was such a wonderful opportunity for our young actors to share their skills and creativity.

🎭✨ Our Stage 1, Acting class has been having an exciting Term 3, getting to know each other and building confidence as a group! 🌟

We’ve been working on projection techniques, exploring how to use our voices effectively and bringing characters to life through emotion and expression 🎤✨

Our students also had a very special visit from Spryte Adventures to feature in one of her YouTube episodes! 💛 It was such an exciting opportunity, with our students teaching Spryte some of their improv skills through activities like Taxi Driver and Space Jump, as well as exploring how to convey different emotions through prompted duologues 🎭

It’s been wonderful watching our Stage 1 students grow in confidence, creativity and performance skills throughout the term! 🌟

A little something new... 📷 ✨

One of the questions I get asked most is, "Can you teach me how to use my camera?" So, I've decided to open up a handful of beginner photography workshops 🙌🏻

These sessions are for adults who are completely new to photography, want to get off auto mode or simply want to feel more confident with their camera. No experience needed 🥰

Over an hour, we'll slow things down and cover the foundations of your camera, manual settings and the little things that make photography feel less overwhelming and a lot more fun 🪩

✿ $70 | 1-hour one-on-one session
✿ Bring your own camera, or borrow one of mine
✿ Location based in Spreyton, with availability to travel to homes around Devonport, Latrobe and surrounding areas
✿Weekday evenings + weekend sessions available starting next week (29th of July, 31st of July, 1st of August)

I'm starting with just 5 bookings to begin with.
