Today was our instrumentalists' turn at Devonport Eisteddfod, with solos, duets, ensembles and the full band all taking the stage and receiving warm encouragement and helpful feedback from adjudicator Jack Machin . What a fantastic day of learning!🥰

It was a bit of a crazy day at Devonport Eisteddfod today, with a packed auditorium and a smorgasbord of choirs, the audience ushered in and out in shifts and quick uniform changes for some choristers! So our photos are somewhat incomplete; apologies to those who weren't included. But absolutely EVERYONE who sang in our choir, vocal ensemble and Piccolos group did so with energy, clarity, enthusiasm and a great choral sound. Bravo! 🎶😍

Today we travelled to Launceston to experience all the joy, craziness and unique energy of Jammin' with Jarms! Never was so much achieved whilst having so much fun!😍 We then hot-footed it across town to perform in a pop-up concert at the Inveresk campus of QVMAG. A big day, and so worth it! It was lovely to perform at the pop-up concert at RANT Arts today, a part of Festival of Voices . Our ensemble sang the evocative and energetic Volta da mar Lago (Paul Jarman), and the choir sang a contrasting selection of songs that both entertained and tugged at the emotions of the audience. Next stop QVMAG in Launceston on Wednesday at 3 pm, after a fun and inspiring workshop with our favourite (ssh, don't tell the others!😉) composer Paul Jarman ! Thanks, as always, to our wonderful pianist Lydia for supporting us so beautifully. 🥰

Our choir and band were excited to visit Devonport High School on Friday to perform some of our favourite pieces for some of the music students. It was the first public performance for several of our members, and they had a blast!😍

This week we invited family members of our instrumental ensemble players to come and hear the ensemble perform the pieces we have been working on this year. It was a great opportunity to hone our concentration and performance skills, and for parents to hear the results of our hard work. 😊

On a glorious autumn day, 21 of Crescendo's choristers gave up time in their holidays and contributed beautifully to Latrobe's ANZAC Day commemorative service, several performing with Crescendo for the first time. They performed Spirit of the ANZACS, and led the combined singing of The Recessional, New Zealand and Australian national anthems.
