Cajon is a spanish word which can be translated as "box" or "drawer". As a musical instrument they take the form a simple box drum that originated in Peru. Recently the cajon has had a popularity surge because it is a simple but effective, providing an incredible sound like a drum kit in a box. Almost anyone can play it, but like any instrument they take a life-time to master. Tassie Hand Drum Cajons are built from either simple plywood or reclaimed timbers and feature an adjustable snare. We are happy to work with you to customise size/dimensions and select your choice of timbers.
