Earrings with a story...... of the male Splendid Faiy Wren and how he turns electric blue in the breeding season.

As a father, he is extremely attentive, helping with the feeding and care of the young chicks.

Then, as the season ends, he loses his beautiful blue feathers to become a muted brown....until the next Spring when it starts all again.🥰
