Great to see Shaun Lee-Chen, along with UWA graduates Brianna Louwen and Noeleen Wright, involved in the Denmark Summer Early Music Workshops this January.

The workshops bring together singers and instrumentalists for an intensive week focused on Baroque repertoire, ensemble skills and historically informed performance, set in the beautiful surroundings of Denmark, WA.

It’s always a pleasure to see members of our community contributing to and engaging with specialist programs like this!

Soirée Française - Experience the brilliance of French Baroque masterpieces performed by some of Australia’s foremost early music specialists, coming to Denmark as tutors for the annual Summer Early Music Workshops. Works by Couperin, Lully, Rameau, Boismortier and others will be brought to life on authentic period instruments in the French style.

Thank you everyone who joined Sarabande on our musical journey to Italy! We were delighted to perform in the beautiful and historic St Leonard's Anglican Church in Denmark, WA. Many thanks to our wonderful partners, the Denmark Choral Quartet, who opened the performances with two lively Madrigals. Sarabande Early Music Ensemble followed with pieces by Frescobaldi, Vivaldi and Torelli, bringing the rich textures of Baroque Italy to life. The tour culminated with an uplifting performance of The Magnificat with Sarabande being joined by Denmark Vivaldi Choir and conductor Lesley Taylor.
