In a first for the Deniliquin region; the local Ukulele group will host a gathering of nationally renowned Ukulele players during November this year. The popular group of players known as the Deni Uke Muster; formed two years ago under the tutelage of local musician Chris Bodey, and has seen exponential growth reflective of the international resurgence of the ukulele playing. Planning is now under

way to host the first Deni Uke Muster Festival and will feature skill development workshops from the famous Richard G (Richard Gibson), The Ukulele Queen of the Bellarine - Sarah Carroll, Ukulele Carnivale and Alex Burns. Participants may also take part in a wolfelele workshop where they build their own ukulele in an afternoon, or add to their Uke collection at the trade fair. The program will also feature Ukulele breakfasts, dinners, busking and maybe a dash of random flash mobbing in local shops about own. The Festival will be hosted in various venues through Deniliquin, with Festival headquarters at the Deniliquin Club in George Street. (Corner of George and Edwardes Street-opposite the Mosaic Ute)
The Festival will kick off on Friday 15 November to Sunday 17 November 2013. (Registrations open 30 August 2013)
