🎥✨ First Nations Projection Mapping Workshop: Lighting Up Culture

Bring your stories, artwork and creative ideas to life through large-scale video projection!

🌟 A three-day, hands-on workshop introducing First Nations artists to the exciting world of projection mapping, transforming digital content into immersive visual experiences across buildings, landscapes and public spaces.

📽️ Learn the fundamentals of projection mapping, digital content creation, animation and live visual presentation
🎨 Work with industry-standard creative technologies
🤝 Learn alongside experienced facilitators
📖 Discover how digital storytelling shares culture, celebrates community and creates engaging public art

💡 Bring your own artwork, photography, designs and creative concepts. Throughout the program, you'll collaborate on a large-scale projection installation showcasing local stories, culture and connection to place.

With thanks to Edward River Council , I will be bringing nature journaling to the Peppin Heritage Centre for three days, 18-19 September.

You can drop-in and be inspired by the nature tables to write, draw, ponder, or just chat about how amazing our natural world is.

Each day there will be a one hour workshop to get you started nature journaling; take time out from busy lives, quiet your mind, and create stronger connections to nature. It's a wonderful way to develop creativity - even for those who do not think they are creative. Bookings essential - follow link in bio to workshops.

There will also be an activity sheet, perfect for families or friends, to get outside and be curious about nature together.

✨ THE NIGHT SKY PROJECT: ONE SKY, MANY STORIES ✨

The final stop on our Night Sky Project tour of SW NSW is landing in Hillston, and we'd love you there.

📅 Saturday 10 October 2026
🕕 6:00pm – 9:00pm
📍 Hillston Showgrounds, The Springs Road, Hillston

An free community event under a big open sky, starting with Indigenous sky stories, and songlines, featuring Will Stevens, moving into shadow puppet workshop and face painting for the kids, then out under the stars for light painting, astrophotography and stargazing as the dark settles in. The Southern Sky – David Malin Astrophotography Awards exhibition will be showing on the night too.

Free and open to everyone, all ages and all nations. Bring a picnic, join the potluck, or grab a snag from the sausage sizzle.
