The Gents were created initially as a seed of an idea of getting a few blokes together to provide entertainment for a
local men's health night. From the kindling of two singing groups, Conspirito Voices and Sing Australia and a few ring-ins, these fellas cobbled together some songs under the guidance of honorary gent, "Mister" Gaffney. What maybe surprised them is that they were not all bad and found power and belonging in singing songs of beauty and hilarity; sometimes delicate, sometimes with booming blokey resonance. Rehearsing for a few weeks at a time The Gents now present songs new and old at a pub or lounge room or phone box near you.
