Flying across Australia again recently I saw many familiar sights that I have painted for years .The Finke River is considered the oldest in the world and it snakes through the Northern Territory and South Australia. The millions of salt lakes which are dotted throughout the continent are also on flight paths to Asia and Europe.These recent works are currently available at Revival Gallery in Brisbane .art.design

Today it's missiles and drones but 1000 years ago it was swords and arrows ....war will probably always be with us !

Another day of extraordinary sights in the ancient city of Bukhara. The coin dates back to the time of Alexander the Great who married a princess from Bukhara.The elderly local proudly showed me a photo of his younger self .A lion guards the entrance to the Emir's audience hall .The last Emir was deposed by the Russians in 192O ended the 700 year rule of the royal family
