Are you headed down to this year's Top Half Folk Festival at Ross River Resort/Inteye-Arrkwe?

Meet the Students - Senior Class of 2026
ALICE COTTON

Born and raised in the tropical north, Alice Cotton's compelling live presence and distinctive songwriting “hits you with the depth and breadth of her storytelling” (triple j). Fresh off a finalist nomination in the NT Music Awards and the release of her debut EP (produced by Nick Huggins), Alice Cotton - Music is solidifying her place as one of Australia's exciting new voices. Her genre-crossing approach appeals to fans of Paul Kelly and Grace Cummings, while her storytelling roots keep listeners coming back for more. Carried by Cotton’s distinctively Australian voice and down-to-earth humour, her music explores intimate lyrics threaded through alt-country and folk sounds, showcasing some of the Northern Territory’s finest narrative songwriting.
