Steve Sedergreen is one of Australia’s most compelling jazz pianists, a fearless improviser, musical storyteller, and beloved mentor whose career spans over three decades at the beating heart of Melbourne’s jazz scene.

Steve doesn’t just play jazz — he inhabits it. His signature is spontaneity: every performance is a one-off conversation, drawn from mood, memory, and whatever ghosts are dancing in the room

Steve has played in Chicago’s vibrant jazz scene, including notable appearances like the PianoForte Chicago series, where he shared the stage with Ty Cooper

Old friends and celebrated musical collaborators, Melbourne-based jazz maestro Steve Sedergreen and Territory songbird Annie Gastin, reunite for one unforgettable night of jazz, blues, and soul at One Mile Brewery, Winnellie.

Steve Sedergreen is one of Australia’s most sought-after and dynamic jazz pianists. With his inviting, electrifying style, his career has spanned decades — from his legendary outfit Mistaken Identity, a powerhouse of the Australian contemporary jazz scene and APRA nominees, to countless club gigs and festival stages. As a mentor, Steve has shaped the next generation of Aussie music icons — including members of The Cat Empire.

Annie Gastin is a beloved Territory favourite with a voice that commands the stage and captivates the crowd. From classic jazz standards to rhythm and blues favourites, Annie’s powerhouse performances have earned her a reputation as one of the country’s most versatile and magnetic vocalists.

Backed by one of the Territory’s finest rhythm sections — Dan Davies on bass and Allen Murphy on drums — this show promises an evening of world-class music, groove, and soul.
