A Night at the Movies is a real community collaboration!

When DMT put the word out to our members for anyone who would like to step up and contribute to the creation of the show, all of these wonderful, dedicated humans jumped at the chance! Some are taking on the role of Director or Choreographer for the first time as well!

DMT are so thankful to have you all in our ever growing community and we cannot wait for our audiences to see what you have put together

Darwin Musical Theatre Inc. are seeking expression of interest submissions from production teams, or individuals we can create a production team with, for our 2026 & 2027 seasons.
We would like to hear from you what show you would like to create.

DMT would like to produce 1 show to be staged in November, and up to 2 shows in 2027. Exact dates and venues are negotiable pending the requirements of the show and space availability etc.

If you are interested in working with DMT to create musical theatre greatness, we want to hear your pitch, including the following:

Chicago may have wrapped, but we still have a few things to say!

We are back for our second week of shows!

To confirm, the entire season of Chicago is sold out. If you didn't book a ticket in time, we highly recommend booking in advance in future to avoid disappointment. On that note, tickets are now on sale for our Fringe Festival show: A Night at the Movies!

Band Director: Dom Serov
Dom is an award-winning musician and performer who has contributed to 20+ musicals as a writer, music director, producer, musician, sound engineer and stage performer. He is one of the founding members of Darwin Musical Theatre and previously music directed 'Musicals Through The Ages' (2024) and played keys in DMT's musical theatre piano bars. Dom now performs the piano bar monthly in Sydney where he is currently working on more of his unique style of horror musicals. Dom feels very blessed and excited to be performing in Darwin again with such a fun crew, cast and band.

Chicago Vocal Coach: Sarah Snow
Sarah is a vocalist, performer, and music theatre graduate who completed her Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) at Federation University in 2017. She began her career in Melbourne, writing and performing her original cabaret Here’s to My ECZ in 2018. Since relocating to Darwin in 2021, Sarah has become a regular solo performer and pianist, appearing in Darwin Carols by Candlelight in 2023 and 2024, and in ABBA Tropica at the Hilton in 2024. Outside of performing, Sarah is a classroom teacher, currently on maternity leave after welcoming a new baby to her family. She is thrilled to be vocal coach for Chicago with DMT.
