👏What a cracking night at Top Floor Comedy Darwin.
With the Darwin Fringe Festival just around the corner, it’s clear everyone is peaking at exactly the right time. A packed room, an engaged crowd, and wall-to-wall laughs from start to finish.
Louise Van Vaerenbergh Comedy - Toilet Cough - The One Louie absolutely brought the house down. The woman I’ll be standing shoulder to shoulder with at my now sold-out Fringe show had the audience in tears of laughter… and snorting like pigs at a trough.
Anna Goat was the MC with the mostest, keeping the energy high and the night rolling effortlessly. Absolute stud.
The seasoned campaigners, Jay Kelly and Garry O'Sullivan, did what they always do—but somehow found another gear with some outstanding crowd work.
Ange Newton, Fiona Russell and Shirley Avis continue to prove they’re ones to watch, lighting up the room with huge energy, sharp timing and a ridiculous laughs-per-minute ratio.
Great to see Iain Loganathan back on stage after a long break, dusting off the comedy cobwebs with stories that somehow managed to be thoughtful, hilarious and just a little bit life-threatening.
And a special shout-out to newcomer Koorine, who found the courage to do her very first set. She is my hot tip for a future comedy favourite if she sticks with it.
Thanks to everyone who came out and packed the room. Darwin comedy is in outstanding shape, and if last night was anything to go by, Fringe is going to be something special. 😎
