Over the last few days, I’ve had the absolute privilege of working alongside seven incredible young women from communities across the Top End as part of the Darwin Street Art Festival.

I was honoured to be chosen by the girls to create a design that would tell their story. Together, we incorporated each of their totems and wove them into a design inspired by the beauty, movement, and life of the Darwin Wet Season. Every element within this mural holds meaning and reflects the unique identities, cultures, and voices of these amazing young women.

Watching the girls bring this artwork to life has been something truly special. The amount of pride, talent, laughter, and connection shared throughout this project is something I will carry with me for a long time.

A huge thank you to the beautiful and inspiring Jaylene Cooper and the incredible Red Dust team for creating opportunities like this and for the ongoing work you do to empower and uplift our young people. Your passion and dedication shine through in everything you do.

The feedback we’ve received from the community over the last few days has been overwhelming, and it has been so wonderful to see people stop, admire the mural, and connect with the story behind it.

So much love to all seven girls, you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve created. Thank you for trusting me to help bring your vision to life. ❤️

If you’re down at the Darwin Waterfront, make sure you stop by and check it out!

So proud to finally share this special mural created for the new Berry Springs Childcare Centre 🌅🐢✨

This piece was such a joy to work on and I absolutely loved bringing so much colour and life into a space that will soon be filled with beautiful children learning, growing and creating memories together. Every part of this design represents community, guidance, connection and the importance of creating safe spaces for our next generation to thrive.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team for reaching out and trusting me to create something so meaningful for your centre. It honestly makes me proud knowing this artwork will now live out in our part of the world for families and children to see every day 💛

Thank you for supporting Aboriginal art and storytelling within community spaces.

During National Reconciliation Week, we’re celebrating connection, culture, and creativity with our Women’s Cultural Connections Group.

At our 6th workshop with Garawa Designs, the group came together to yarn, weave, learn, and strengthen cultural connections through shared stories and creativity. Each woven piece reflects the care, resilience, and connection that grows when community comes together.

The Women's Cultural Connections group is facilitated by our SEWB workers and Aboriginal Community Engagement Worker.

Over the last couple of months, I’ve had the absolute privilege of running ongoing weaving workshops with the beautiful women’s group at Headspace Darwin 🤍

Each session has been filled with connection, culture, creativity and so many meaningful conversations. Watching these young women continue to grow in confidence, support one another and create such beautiful pieces has been incredibly special to be part of. ✨

These workshops are about so much more than weaving, they are about creating safe spaces, building relationships, sharing stories and empowering our next generation of strong and inspiring women.

To all of the amazing young women involved, I am so proud of everything you are creating and of the beautiful women you all are. Your kindness, strength and willingness to learn and connect is something truly special. Keep shining and keep doing amazing things 🌿

A huge thank you also to the incredible team of women who lead and support this group every day. The love, care and guidance you provide creates such a positive and empowering environment, and I feel very grateful to continue working alongside you all.

Looking forward to many more workshops, yarns and creative afternoons together 🤍

Today we pause to reflect, remember, and acknowledge the strength of the Stolen Generations, their families, and communities.

National Sorry Day is a reminder of the pain carried through generations, but also the resilience, survival, and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 🖤💛❤️

May we continue to listen, learn, truth-tell, and walk together with understanding, respect, and healing for future generations.

Painting is truly one of my happy places 🤎✨
There’s something so special about watching a piece slowly come to life, from the colours and patterns to the story behind every detail. Painting allows me to connect deeply with culture, storytelling, creativity, and myself.

Every brush stroke carries meaning, connection, and a journey. Seeing the artwork evolve from an idea into something powerful is one of the best feelings and reminds me why I love creating so much.

So grateful to be able to share my stories, culture, and passion through art every day 🎨

Sneak peek 👀🔥

Absolutely loving how this recent business shirt design concept turned out for Hoyle Da Silva Lawyers.

I worked closely with the team to create something unique that aligned with their vision while incorporating their business colour palette throughout the design. I love being able to create pieces that feel professional, meaningful and visually strong all at once.

Can’t wait to see the final shirts once they’re printed and brought to life 🙌🏽 Too deadly!

Thank you to Hoyle Da Silva Lawyers for trusting Garawa Aboriginal Designs to create this special design 💛
