And finally, Matthew Predny is Frank Packer!
Matthew also makes up half of Tall Poppy's Music Team.
NIDA (BDA, Acting) 2015. Shortly after graduation, Matthew was cast as Princeton/Rod in LCW’s production of Avenue Q (2015) and appeared in the short film Problem Play for Goalpost Pictures. 2016 saw him performing in the Australian tour of Fiddler on the Roof, making his small screen debut in Blue Water Empire and being a finalist in the Rob Guest Endowment Award.
He began working on Kinky Boots with the Michael Cassel Group and toured Australia in the role of ‘Richard Bailey’ and covering ‘Charlie’ and ‘Harry’. Since then he has performed in High Fidelity (TMPMITW) and Gypsy (Electra) at Hayes Theatre, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder with The Production Company, and co-written and performed in the sell-out premiere season of Yarramadoon with Hannah and Eliza Reilly at Belvoir. In 2019 he played Jack in Into The Woods, One & Jack in the world premiere of This Bitter Earth (Best Ensemble, Green Room Awards), and John Truitt in Meet Me In St. Louis. During the lockdown in 2020, Matthew played the role of Richart Becker in the world’s first live streamed stage/screen hybrid musical, Who’s Your Baghdaddy?. In 2021 he toured the country playing the lead role in Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol Live: Race to the Rescue.
Matthew is a writer, composer and music director. His award-winning work with partner Jake Nielsen includes On Hold (Academy® Accredited Best Australian Short Film at Flickerfest 2018; finalist for the Dendy Live Action Australian Short Film Award in the 65th Sydney Film Festival).
