A lovely new collaboration with 12 Southern Highlands artists. A Gallery Pop-up filled with original works and open daily during April. Buy direct from us and chat to the artist in store on the day.

The in store pics are from friends popping in on the Easter long weekend before they knew about it. So wonderful to receive messages like this.

Hope to see you on Saturday if you can pop in to the pop up Gallery.

'Changing Lanes' was stitched from Spring into Summer, mostly while travelling on the train between the Highlands and Sydney. When it started, there was an interconnected vibe to my life. Like all the separate activities just fit together. However, my daily rhythms shifted and needed to be rebuilt.

It will be on show at Penrose Art Exhibition 17, 18 & 19 April 2026

Artist Profile – Kate Tribe, Exeter

Kate is a contemporary artist creating hand embroidered cross stitch without detailed pre-planning or patterns.

Her artwork represents a visual expression of thoughts, encapsulating our environment and the people around us. Kate’s cross stitch pieces depict our thoughts as they move between topics and the rhythm of our lifestyles, often portraying the contradictions of needing routine as we seek change. She regularly stitches while travelling on a train.

Kate’s work has been exhibited in solo and shared exhibitions in the Southern Highlands, Sydney and Newcastle. It has also been scanned and printed for wearing, writing, and use at home.

Kate is exhibiting 'Changing Lanes', a beautiful, intricate cross stitch at the Penrose Art Exhibition 17, 18 & 19 April 2026

Awesome showreel of BackStage Music show Children of the Resistors | Oxford Art Factory. It was great to be on stage doing cross stitch for part of it and really enjoyed the creative process beforehand.

A showreel of backstage Music's Children of the Resistors (COTR) on February 1st 2026 at the Oxford Art Factory.

It was fabulous to meet Eszter Bornemisza at last night. She talked about her life and work.

I was drawn to her work as soon as I saw it and when she spoke about her life, I heard other connections.

🔸️ Career starting in statistics and research.
🔸️ An interest in maps as they say something about a place.
🔸️Visually expressing problems and everyday life in abstract and contemporary ways

Sorry about the sound quality. Meta glasses great for images, but not as good for voice recording.

If you can go on Sunday before it ends. I highly recommend.
