The Federal Government announced expenditure of $9.3bn for social housing in this year's budget. Bickering over whether it’s new or reheated money misses the point. Belatedly, almost unbelievably, the Fed’s big money is addressing the housing crisis where it’s needed most: in social housing.

This project, in numerous forms, has been in our office for more than eight years.
In 2019 we successfully negotiated a planning proposal to amend the height limit from 8.5m to 54m.
We then designed a series of buildings of increasing size & complexity for the reference design for a NSW gov’t design excellence comp, won by in 2022.
We continued to work as architects in association with C&T for 18 months to develop the recently approved SSDA.
