You may remember back in May that we announced Beyond Bank as the sponsor of the Qtopia Sydney Volunteer Program — supporting the incredible people who help bring our exhibitions, performances and programs to life.

Our volunteers are at the heart of the Qtopia Sydney experience. From welcoming visitors and sharing stories to supporting events and creating a sense of community, they help ensure every person who walks through our doors feels included, connected and inspired.

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the violence at Berlin Pride.

In moments like these, we hold each other a little closer and remember the strength that comes from community. We will continue to show up for one another, to celebrate who we are, and to create spaces where everyone can feel safe, seen and free to be themselves.

We are stronger together, and we will never let hate divide us.

It’s the end of an era here for us and we wanted to take a moment to say a little goodbye but a very very big thank you.

Many of you know by now that we have both made the decision to explore our next chapters and say goodbye to Qtopia Sydney. This hasn’t been an easy decision for either of us but after 3 and 4 years here each, we felt that it was the right time.

As well as being behind the theatres, Pride Fest and the programs, we have also been behind the socials for the last couple of years and so we wanted to take to the platform to thank you all.

Thank you for coming to the shows.
Thank you for engaging in the programs.
Thank you for supporting us through likes, comments and follows.
Thank you for turning up for Pride Fest.
Thank you for helping make Qtopia Sydney grow into something so special so quickly.

It has been the ultimate adventure for us both and we are so proud to have been part of the first team here at Qtopia Sydney.

We have built incredible friendships with so many of you that we know we will treasure for many years to come. Thank you for making this the best place to be - a place full of big dreams, big ideas and big passion.

Thank you so much to the Board, the Team, the Ambassadors and Patrons for making this place so special. But more than anyone, thank you to the volunteers who supported all our big ideas with the heart, the muscle, and the community spirit that they needed to not just work, but to soar.

But for now, from the bottom of our hearts - thank you so much for the best few years - there is simply no where else like this.

We will both be around still - you’re not getting rid of us that easily! - so, it’s not quite goodbye, just see you soon
