🌿✨ Among the Gum Leaves ✨🌿

After spending quite a while on and off my easel, this piece is finally finished and framed.

Inspired by the beautiful tangle of Australian gum leaves and blossoms, I wanted to capture that feeling of abundance — where the branches spill and weave across the composition, almost taking on a life of their own. The blue-and-white ceramic plate peeks through the foliage, adding a quiet nod to my love of collected objects and still life traditions.

This work has been a slow one, evolving over time through many layers and small adjustments, but sometimes those are the paintings that end up saying exactly what they need to say.

🌿✨ This one has been on and off my easel for quite a while, worked on between commissions, exhibitions, and everything else life throws in the way. But after many layers, little changes, and plenty of time spent looking at it, it’s finally finished.

A wonderful afternoon supporting a fantastic community event. I was delighted to donate several original artworks for the raffle and auction, helping raise funds while bringing a little art into the day.

There’s nothing better than seeing paintings head off to new homes and meeting the lucky winners along the way. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, bid, and supported the event.

A day away from my own brushes, stepping into the role of judge at the Dalby Show 🎨

It’s a different kind of seeing. You’re not just looking at what’s there — you’re feeling for what holds, what lingers, what has weight.

There were so many technically strong works, but the pieces that stood out were the ones with presence… the ones you keep coming back to.

A really inspiring day, and such a strong reminder of the level of talent in our community 🤍
