Meet Mr. Yoshikazu Kondo. He is Gisui Kondo, master artisan whose signature delicate red ceramic teapots have put him and his work on the honours list. It’s not every day you find a ‘Human National Treasure’ to work with on the wheel, on a day trip to Tokoname, Aichi, Japan. With . Tokoname is a place I was lucky to visit with my Japanese art teacher when I was a student, so it was lovely to return.

Great to have back in the HIVE. Last night’s session was something truely special ✨ Rebecca Cunningham brought her incredible depth of knowledge and undeniable skill to the studio, guiding a dedicated group through the beauty and complexity of human anatomy.
So inspiring to see such commitment and passion in the room — this course is going to produce some amazing progress. Can’t wait to watch it all unfold ❤️🐝❤️

It's been such an amazing boat ride with 27 artists across three venues exploring the creeks to coast of Southern Qld. The Aqua Limina Creative Catalyst Award went to for her compelling work which moved beyond just representing water and instead engaged with it as an active system, chemically, physically, and sensorially.
