Fun. We have had a lot of it!

Thank you. ♥️ From the bottom of our hearts. For your patronage, your support, your loyalty, and every single time you showed up for us. The farewell messages have been overwhelming - we’re deeply moved by every single one.

Yes, we’re going to miss you - and it seems you’re going to miss us too. We’re so proud of what we did, what we built, what we created, and what VVR meant to this town. By backing ourselves, running our own race, creating something truly unique, and simply doing the work - we had more fun than not for over a decade. 😎😂.

And we’ll just say it - we were really, really good at it. Fun, flirty, freakin’ fabulous, delivered every time, and we so damn proud of every single moment.

How long have you been part of VaVoom Room journey?

Cast your eyes over this cocktail list. At one point in time, Di was creating brand new cocktails every single weekend! Named after instructors, friends, our most loyal legends, and some of them - went on to cause very serious damage to very good people. We’re not sorry about that✌🏼

But let’s talk about Di. My partner. My person. The absolute energy to my vibe. She has built things, loved things, set things up, made things happen, & turned every single dream I had into something real. She’s made the impossible look easy and done it with calmness & style while I was absolutely wigging out & losing my mind nearby. 😳

Plus, she’s pretty good at sound & lighting too…. 😂

Please take a moment to acknowledge, appreciate, love and respect the legend that is Di.

Because without her….none of this would have existed. Not one show. Not one night. Not one sequin in the right place. Not one ‘make us look good’ lighting cue understood 😎

Well, Townsville. Thanks for the memories.

It’s the end of an era - and the last few pieces of VaVoom Room Shows VaVoom Room are heading to a great new home. Local, arts and theatre based. We cannot wait to see what they do with the legacy. We’ve still got odds & ends, artwork, & some of the quirky stuff - so reach out if you’ve got your eye on something you haven’t seen sold yet.

Bittersweet doesn’t quite cover it. But it’s also filled with happiness, hope, and promise for what comes next for us.

Thanks for the journey.
Thanks for showing up.
Thanks for the highest highs and the lowest lows - and for showing up every single time anyway.
Thanks for every single moment.

30 May 2026….The last day of the last day.

Over a decade we’ve graced some stages. The Sovereign. The Playpen. The Metropole. The Herbert. The Mansfield. The Heritage. Molly Malone’s. Ross Island Hotel. A little show at our very 1st studio venue before going big and launching onto **that** Flinders Street location - and finally, here. The best burlesque in the burbs. ✨

But here’s what I’ve learned. It was never really about the venue.

What we do is unique. Filled with passion, purpose, and pride. Our students, our instructors, our people - they show up and they deliver every single time. And we have never repeated ourselves. Never recycled. Never taken the easy road.
We reinvent every single show, every single time.

To have done that for over 10 years in Townsville?

That’s something to be truly proud of. There is nothing else like us. There never was. 💋🎭

And to the 1 person who has put up with my absolute everything - my partner, my rock, my biggest supporter, my harshest critic, and my truest love. The person who can MacGyver the absolute sh*t out of anything and has built, rigged, hauled, & conjured some of the most incredible venue setups has ever seen out of nothing but sheer determination and duct tape, .downunder 💕 Without Di, there would be no …. No decade of chaos, sequins, and magic. And definitely no sound or lighting!!! You are my everything - thank you for supporting my dream💋

But Townsville, let’s do this 1 last time! Thanks for the memories!! You were the therapy, the chaos, and the cure all at once. 🖤

The last show. Sold out. A lineup that is going to absolutely blow the roof off the building and likely result in some noise complaints from all the cheering - but we cannot wait to show you what we’ve got.

Saturday night is going to be one of those nights you talk about for years. The kind you don’t forget. The kind that reminds you why you said yes.
