๐Ÿฆ **A Familiar Face of the Northern Downs** ๐Ÿฆ

As preparations continue for the 2026 InStudio Art Trail, artist **Liisa Gee** is busy in the studio bringing local wildlife to life through her beautiful pastel work.

This striking **Grey-crowned Babbler** is one of several new pieces currently taking shape. Anyone who has spent time in our region may recognise these lively native birds, known for their constant chatter, close family bonds, and entertaining antics as they forage across the ground together.

Liisa's work captures not only the beauty of the bird itself but also the character and spirit of the local landscape we call home.

Visit Liisa during the InStudio Art Trail this August and discover the stories, wildlife, and natural beauty that inspire her artwork.

Kylie and Hannah Depper are exploring the ancient Japanese ceramic art of **Nerikomi**, transforming layers of coloured clay into beautifully patterned functional pieces inspired by the Australian landscape.

Drawing on the rich tones of ochre, earth, stone, and sky, their work celebrates the colours and textures found throughout our country. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, with patterns running through the clay itself, creating unique designs that are revealed during the making process.

From elegant vessels to decorative forms, Kylie and Hannah's work showcases both technical skill and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Discover their remarkable ceramics and meet the artists behind them during the InStudio Art Trail this August.

๐ŸŒŸ **Meet the Artists of the 2026 InStudio Art Trail** ๐ŸŒŸ

We're delighted to welcome photographer **Kerry Lee Schemioneck** to this year's InStudio Art Trail.

With a lifelong love of photography that began with a simple box brownie camera, Kerry has spent the past five years developing her skills and pursuing her passion behind the lens. Inspired by the natural beauty of our region, she captures the landscapes, moments, and stories that make our community unique.

Kerry is also a passionate supporter of local events and organisations, generously sharing her photography to help promote and document community activities. Many may know her from the recent Hampton Festival, where she coordinated the Photography Hub and launched the inaugural Photography Competition, helping create a wonderful showcase for photographers across the region.

Her dedication and talent were rewarded at the festival, where she exhibited her work and celebrated the sale of two framed photographs along with a number of gift cards.

Kerry's enthusiasm for photography, community, and creativity shines through in everything she does, and we are thrilled to have her join the InStudio Art Trail family this year.

Be sure to visit Kerry during the trail and discover the beauty of our region through her lens. ๐Ÿ“ธโœจ

๐Ÿ“ธ **ARTIST HIGHLIGHT | Kerry Schemioneck**

For Kerry Schemioneck, photography is far more than capturing a momentโ€”it's about telling a story. Drawing inspiration from her country roots and rural lifestyle, Kerry creates images that reflect the beauty, character, and spirit of the world around her.

Her work spans a diverse range of subjects, from native birds and sweeping landscapes to portraits, nature studies, and abstract compositions. Whether it's the golden glow of dust at sunset, the quiet reflection of a country waterhole, or a fleeting encounter with wildlife, Kerry's photographs invite us to pause and see the extraordinary in everyday life.

As Kerry says, photographers are the storytellers of life's experiences, and each photograph becomes part of that narrative.

โœจ Visit Kerry during the InStudio Art Trail and experience the stories, beauty, and emotion captured through her lens.
