There is some confusion in our posts and the entry conditions for our 2026 photographic competition, so we thought we should clarify the main points

Details below.

Open to all photographers in Australia

Only the first 60 fully paid and correctly submitted entries will be accepted into the competition

Entries will be closed as soon as we have 60 fully paid entries

$350 entry fee includes guaranteed entry into exhibition, printing and framing of your artwork.

All artworks will be for sale during the exhibition for $750

Any unsold artworks will remain the property of the photographer.

Photographers from across Australia are invited to exhibit their work in a professionally presented gallery exhibition. For a $350 entry fee, works will be professionally printed and framed, promoted through the gallery’s marketing and social media channels, and available for sale, while photographers retain ownership of their framed artwork.

First prize

Russell works in diverse mediums including acrylics, gouache, charcoal pastel and oils and explores themes of urban and natural landscapes in expressive and figurative style.
The works use the light conditions, early morning, dusk or night to explore unique opportunities to highlight elements and introduce bold colour.

Northern Beaches Gallery National Photographic Exhibition 2026 is a curated national show celebrating contemporary Australian photography — and submission capacity is limited.

Once spaces are filled, entries will close early.

If you’ve been thinking about entering, now is the time.

Entries will have their work professionally printed and framed, exhibited in a professionally presented gallery show, and promoted across our website, media, and social platforms — while retaining ownership of their framed work.

Exhibition Dates: 4–18 July 2026
Entries Close: 15 June 2026 (or earlier if capacity is reached)
