This reading excerpt, taken from ‘life’ reading 1432-1, was given in August 1937 for a 35-year-old male (Accountant, Unemployed). Mr (1432) was not present for the reading.
The reading began with these observations about the choosing of the records for Mr (1432): ‘Yes, we have the entity, with those records that give the relations of this entity with the universal forces, combined with those urges that are latent and manifested in the present experience; as indicated by the application of Creative Forces in the experience through the sojourns in the earth and as given in the astrological aspects or sojourns in the interims. These, as we find the records, make rather an interesting expression - yet manifestedly the urges are oft confusing to the entity, as may be seen from the reactions that are indicated in the experience in the present sojourn.’
The reading then examined Mr (1432)’s astrological influences:
‘The astrological influences or urges are not because of the position of the stars or the planetary influences at the time of the birth, but rather are the activities such because of sojourns of the consciousness of the entity IN the environ.
Thus we find that Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars are as the ruling influences - or the sojourns. Hence the entity innately gives expression to these in its associations and activities with others.
Hence we have almost a double-minded individual, as indicated by the fact that while there is a sympathetic and a loving influence for the home, there is so much materiality in the activities of the entity that the home is a thing apart from the material or business associations. Business is business, the home is home - to the entity. And these should be ONE, for constructive forces.
Hence we find those with whom the entity should be the more closely related often causing the most confusing experiences. If the entity will be as analytical from the spiritual sense as from the purely mechanical, or especially mathematical sense, we would find there would be a great many changes in the outlook upon associations with others.’
Before examining Mr (1432)’s important prior lifetimes, the reading addressed the importance of the spirit on the physical: ‘As to the appearances in the earth and those that make for the emotional influences as combined with the astrological aspects and urges, KNOW that no urge, no experience is above the WILL of the entity. For though there be hope, though there be faith, if you do not manifest it in your own experience IN OTHERS, will others ever manifest it or see it in you?
It is a natural law, as two and two make four. It is the natural consequence, it is the activity of cause and effect that is so often expressed in your conversation and the more in the activity.
But remember these are spiritual laws as well as material, for without the SPIRIT, without the motive, without the desire, without the will, these become as naught.
For all knowledge or all power is of Creative Forces - or God. And it is a law that is love, if man will but embrace and live and manifest same in the daily experience.
The reading then discussed four prior lifetimes - in the US, in the French Land (during the Second Crusade), in the Persian / Parthenian land, and in the Gobi Land.
The reading then addressed Mr (1432)’s present opportunities: ‘First - analyze the purposes. Look within and know; the forces within must answer to the influences and forces without, not of the material - but if these are founded in life and truth and hope these, even the material, become creative. For the earth IS the Lord's and the fullness thereof, and until ye know Him there cannot come the peace, the joy of being a CONSTRUCTIVE influence in this experience.
The abilities are plenty, the applications have been selfish - and hence have only brought disappointments. Arouse to the work of making the earth, and each association, a better place because of thou having been in same.’
Eight questions were then asked:
‘((Q) Why is my relation or reaction to my family so antagonistic? (A) As has been indicated, from motives that have been as a separate thing in the experience.
(Q) Why am I a failure? (A) NOT a failure; only has the entity lost sight of its purposes for which it entered into this material experience, and must meet self in a CONSTRUCTIVE manner, else it becomes not a failure but rather as one who has lost hold upon even a sight of the goal.
(Q) For what specific purpose did I come into this earth's plane? (A) TO MEET SELF, and to make for more CONSTRUCTIVE forces in the experiences and associations with others.
KNOW that as ye do unto the least of thy associates ye do unto the GOD within THEE that is in the image of the God without.
(Q) Shall I give up accounting? (A) Rather USE it in those channels and ways indicated.
(Q) Shall I leave my family and go west to find a job? (A) As we find would be better in Reno, Salt Lake, Frisco or Santa Barbara.
(Q) What can I do to make a success of life? (A) Apply the abilities in constructive ways and manners.
(Q) Do I owe the members of my family anything and what? (A) This is a very uncertain question. There is a duty, an obligation that ye owe SELF in the relationship to EVERY member of the family; as EVERY member owes same to thee; to make the associations constructive and each better for having been thrown or drawn together.
For nothing happens as by accident, but that the glory of the Father may be manifested in the doings and the relationships of each individual as one to another.
(Q) Have I any talent or aptitude for any special work? (A) Secretarial, or those that have been indicated, the better. Do that. First look into self and its purposes.’
