This reading excerpt, taken from ‘life’ reading 3000-2, was given in May 1943 for a 55-year-old female. Mrs (3000) was not present for the reading.
The reading commenced with a background of the way Mrs (3000)’s information had been chosen from the Akashic Records:
‘In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, there are many from which to choose - as well as many of those who seek to interpret the records for this entity.
But we would choose these, in preference; with the desire and hope that this may be a helpful experience for the entity, enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
While all of the personalities indicated even in the appearances will not be given, those that will be chosen will be for their greater influence expressed or manifested in the activities of the present personality, and that may prove to be a helpful force for the entity - applied in those manners and according to those stresses as may be indicated for this entity.
In giving interpretation, then, we would magnify the virtues and we would minimize the faults. This, too, would the entity do well to practice in its own personal experience.’
The reading then addressed Mrs (3000)’s astrological and numerological influences:
‘These we find apparent in the activities as would be called a composite of the astrological and numerological experiences of the entity in the earth in the three-dimensional way and manner :
One that feels impelled to be in the open.
One that would desire to stay close to those things pertaining to the earth-earthy. And yet each phase and each kingdom of same presents a study for this entity.
For, as indicated by the manner in which those would interpret to the entity that visioned from its consciousness, these - too - would have their influence, if allowed to enter to any great extent.
These are considerations that should be a part of the entity's experience. Just as all of those in the earth's sign bring a consciousness of the entity to the needs, as well as the beauty, as well as the manners of expression, as well as those that would bring about satisfaction or contentment within the heart and mind of the entity; especially those things pertaining to the soil, the products of the soil, vegetables or grains, or those things as may be produced from the earth - these are of the entity's consciousness.
And yet those things that have to do with entertaining are also a portion of the consciousness. These represent Mercury, Uranus, and others we find - other activities coming into the experience of the entity that are the governing influences toward the earth in its present form.’
The reading then examined three prior lifetimes for Mrs (3000) – in the US, in the Norse Land (as a male seafarer), and in the Egyptian Land.
The reading made these comments about the lifetimes chosen for Mrs (3000):
‘As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, these we find quite varied - and yet, as indicated, all of these may not be given in the present, but those that appear to have the greater influence or sensibility in the present experience. These are given with not only that desire to help but to point out to the entity those channels through which greater satisfaction may be gained, or greater contentment - and not satisfaction at all, but contentment and peace in the experience of the entity in the earth at present.’
The reading then comprehensively addressed Mrs (3000)’s present abilities: ‘As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how :
First, know thyself. Know thy activities, as to whether these are contributing to the ideal thou hast set for thyself or not. Choose thou - as the power and the might of the individual is such, from the gift of the Creator, that it may make itself - of itself - amenable to suggestive forces from without as well as within. But know that thine own body is the temple of the living God, not that as may manifest through the entity.
Hence choose rather those tenets that are set forth so thoroughly in the 30th of Deuteronomy, and as verified by the teachings of the Master in the sermon on the mount as well as those especially in the 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th of John - where promises are given individuals.
Well has the entity chosen those services from the soil, for he that is close to nature, he that is close to the manifesting of life in its primitive form and in its subjugative mind, keeps close to that way wherein a knowledge of the Creative Forces may be made manifest in self.
When these are extended, or come to the social activities, keep that same faith. For, know - the body, the mind, the soul is as the earthly godhead of the individual entity. Each has its phase or part to perform, just as all of the activities of the mind, as well as of the body, must coordinate - if they would be to the glory, to the greater glory of their Creator. And this is the purpose of entrance into the earth.
Thus study thyself, and know thy ideals; that ye may walk in the straight and the narrow way.
But do write at times of thy own experiences, rather than of those that would enslave thee in their own weaknesses. For, He has promised to be with those that seek His biddings. Know He is not far from thee, daily.
Let thy light so shine that others, seeing, may take hope, and may walk the closer with the Creative Force, God.’
Three questions were then asked:
‘(Q) Is The enterprise I am engrossed in the right thing to do; if not, why, and what should I be doing? (A) In the present, yes - and will be for the next three to four years. Then change.
(Q) What mistakes in living am I making? (A) Who is to judge? Know thine own ideal, spiritually, mentally, materially, and then let thy life be an example of that ideal; keeping the faith with thyself, with thy fellow man. Know, as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, ye do to thy maker.
(Q) What is the entity that puts me into a hypnotic sleep at night? (A) Beware of those influences that would prevent thee from being thine own self. Walk closer with those forces as promised in, "In my Father's house are many mansions..."’
In an oral report to Gladys Davis in January 1947, Mrs (3000) stated: "In 1920 I was very much in love with a poor young man of whom my mother disapproved. Later, out of spite, I ran away with our chauffeur and married him [I should have stood up to my mother and married the one I loved - my life would have been so different - probably would have had a dozen children. As it is, I have had to turn to metaphysics for the answer]. After several years I had to divorce the chauffeur - he was making me bankrupt. Later I married another man who had divorced his wife in order to marry me. I found out afterwards that he only married me for my money and was still living with his former wife. Years later I tried marriage for the third time - shortly afterwards found out he was a homosexual. So, I had to go it alone. I turned to metaphysics, became a member of the Theosophical Society. I got mixed up with a group that used me for experimenting in trance work. I would come out of these sessions very depleted in strength and lacking in will power. Finally I gathered up enough strength to break with them.
"My mother has always been a karmic influence in my life. She was a terrible woman - ruined the lives of her husband and children. I stood up to her more than the others.
"The doctors are treating me for leukemia [Mrs (3000) subsequently died of this in December 1952] - using a new treatment that is supposed to delay it. I don't know why I go to all the trouble to take the treatments - I am not especially interested in living - I'd just as soon go on to the next plane."
April 1958 Report by friend to whom she had shown her Life Rdg. : "Many of the characteristics mentioned in her Life Rdg., I know were very true. For instance, her love of the soil, the outdoors, urge to entertain. She is very mannish, too, and she thinks like a man. The reading said she was a man in her Norse incarnation."
