Congratulations to Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize winner, Imants Tillers, for being a finalist at the Art Gallery of New South Wales Wynne exhibition.

Imants work "Prayer for Rain" encompasses 54 canvases, showing a 'meadow of daisies as a metaphor for the self and we pray: mine thou Lord of life, send my roots rain'. Congratulations Imants!

A flower meadow is an unusual subject for an Australian landscape – we are more familiar with the harsh realities of fire, drought and flood. Yet such gentle, quiet and fecund places exist on our continent – notably in the subalpine areas of NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
