The excitement is building for our very first Knit-A-Long (KAL)!

With so much interest already, we’re hosting an Information Night this Friday. Join us for dinner from 6:00pm, Our café will be serving a delicious warming beef casserole with a fresh dinner roll, along with all of our regular menu favourites
The information session to follow at 7:00pm.

This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the project, see what’s involved, and have all your questions answered before we begin.

Whether you’ve already registered your interest or are simply curious to find out more, we’d love to see you there!

Our first KAL is happening, starting Friday 3rd July finishing Friday 4th September, the pattern parts will be released every fortnight on a Friday night.
You will be knitting an intricate shawl, you will need 4 x 4ply yarn in contrasting colours (400m of each colour)
Help will be available every Friday night between 6pm-8pm or via the group chat page that will be created via messenger for participants only.
You must know how to knit ( purl and knit stitches)
If you are unable to attend instore you can still participate and we will send you the pattern parts via email but we’d suggest you would need to be a competent knitter
Cost is $50 per person

🧶 Expression of Interest – Mystery Knit Along! 🧶

Following the wonderful success of our Crochet Alongs, we’re excited to announce that we’re planning a Mystery Knit Along!

Over 10 weeks, you’ll create a stunning and intricate shawl, with the pattern revealed in five parts – one new section released every fortnight. The full design will remain a secret until the very end, making it a truly exciting knitting adventure!

What you need to know:
✨ Must be confident with basic knitting skills, including knit and purl stitches
✨ Guidance and support will be available throughout the project
✨ Friday night sessions starting mid-July
✨ 10-week knit along with 5 pattern part releases
✨ Cost: $50 per person (includes the pattern)

Whether you love a challenge, enjoy knitting with others, or simply can’t resist a mystery project, this knit along is sure to be a lot of fun.

🧶 Lots of fun in store today for Knit or Crochet in Public Day! 🧶

It was a little too chilly to put the tables and chairs outside, so we stayed nice and toasty indoors instead.

Our challenge for the day was to crochet a single chain long enough to go all the way around our building. We supplied the yarn, and everyone got busy stitching away. A few hours later, once our wonderful joiners had finished connecting all the sections together, it was time for the big test!

Off we went for a walk with our giant crochet chain… and not only did it make it around the building, it actually went around one and a half times! 🎉

The neighbouring shop owners were certainly intrigued. Watching a group of crocheters wandering around the building with a chain stretched across doorways probably had them wondering what on earth we were up to. They may have thought we were all a little strange… and they wouldn’t be entirely wrong! 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, crocheted a section, bought raffle tickets, shared a laugh, and helped make the day such a success.

Well done, everyone! ❤️🧶👏
