On a wonderful art retreat in Tasmania I was gifted ‘Draw your Adventures’, a mini sketchbook and the tools for portable mini captures of my adventures and to increase my creative practice.
Such fun to capture little moments.

What an inspiring social night at the Coonabarabran Show's Art Preview evening, where creativity and joy come together, and I'm thrilled to see my pastel artworks, featuring an echidna and elephant, receive recognition, rekindling my passion to spend time back in the studio.

A new addition at the Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre as part of ‘Into the Forest’ exhibition open until the end of May.

‘Sleep Tight’ original is for sale for $180

Medium: Stabilo Carbothello Pastel Pencils & Schmincke pastels on Clairefontane Pastelmat

This sleepy koala was painted during an art class with Kerri Dixon at Coonabarabran’s SPACE gallery on New Years Day 2025.

It was fun to create the texture of his fluffy fur along with the textures of the bark.

We used to have koalas living on our 100 acre bush block, not often seen we used to hear them in mating season as they are very noisy and sound almost like a pig. Sadly we haven’t seen or heard them since the 7 year drought, we hope one day they may return.

The original photo of this sleepy head was taken by Kerri Dixon at the Australian Zoo in Qld.

Just registered and packaged for posting an ink drawing ✍️ to which supports Australian artists.

I havent drawn in ink for well over a year but my pencil and charcoal drawing and sketching have helped in my drawing practice.

I’m unable to share my work as it is going into an anonymous art exhibition and sale… so until the person buys they won’t know who the artist is. I was able to share a little message with the potential future buyer and I hope I hear from them.

I’m often asked how long a painting takes. I try to remember to turn on a timer using the Toggl timer app but i dont always remember to do so every time I sit at my art easel.

This elephant painting I’ve been doing within an art class draw along with Kez Art We actually did it over 2 x 2 hour painting sessions. Our tea her, Kerri Dixon, finished in that time but I’ve still got to add a lot more detail.

I think mine will possibly take more than 6 hours, thinking how I did almost an hour after our first session filling in detail and will likely do another hour on this before I’ll declare it complete. Knowing when to stop is also part of the challenge 🤣

It’s been a lot of fun kicking up dust. 😉

I’ve currently got 2 paintings on the go so need to keep heading back to my studio to wrap them both up.

12 months ago I didn’t see myself as an artist until I sold my first titled ‘Possum Magic’ since then I’ve sold a further 6 works.
I especially love it when I get to photograph the new owner.
Thank you to those that have seen something in my work enough to want to keep or gift it to somebody else. It certainly makes my artist heart sing 🎶
Thankyou to Diane Heinlin, Heidi McGlashan Reggie's Tattersalls Hotel Debbie Kiem Blue Sky Cheese - Handmade in Mendooran Michelle Brady, David Jackson and Hazel 🤗
