🏆 REGIONAL DANCE STUDIO OF THE YEAR
🥇 GOLD TEACHER OF THE YEAR – MISS LANI

We are still pinching ourselves! Monaro Dance Centre was honoured to be named Regional Dance Studio of the Year, and our very own Miss Lani was awarded Gold Teacher of the Year at the Ready Set Dance awards at the Gold Coast. To say we are blown away would be an understatement!

These awards belong to so many people. To our incredible students who walk through our doors each week with enthusiasm and determination, to our families who trust us with their children, and to our dedicated team who pour their hearts into creating a positive and supportive environment, we share this moment with all of you.

For over 30 years, Monaro Dance Centre has been a part of our community. Every class taught, every performance, every friendship formed, and every opportunity created has helped shape the studio we are today. We are incredibly grateful to our community for allowing us to do what we love and for supporting us every step of the way.

And to Miss Lani, what an achievement! 💜Anyone who knows Miss Lani knows she brings something truly special to every class. Her kindness, patience, enthusiasm, and ability to make every child feel seen and valued is what makes her such an incredible teacher. She brings that extra sparkle to our little dancers’ journeys each week, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her recognised in this way.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the MDC story. These awards may have our name on them, but they represent an entire community that believes in creating opportunities, confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories through dance.

✨ Dance for Sick Kids ✨

Our students will be dancing, counting their minutes, and raising funds to support families through Ronald McDonald House ❤️

We’re proud to share that Miss Chloe, Miss Lani and Miss Brooke have recently completed their Project SKIP Teacher Training 💜

Project SKIP was developed right here at Monaro Dance Centre in 2021, and is a wellbeing-based program designed specifically for dance studios and Schools in regional areas. It focuses on building confident, resilient and connected young people.

At MDC, this means your child is supported beyond the steps 💜

Through simple, age-appropriate activities, our teachers are now even better equipped to support:
• confidence
• emotional awareness
• connection with others
• focus and resilience

Even more special… Project SKIP is now also being delivered in our local schools, allowing us to extend this impact right across our community.
We’re so proud to lead this space and continue creating an environment where every child feels seen, supported and empowered .

💜 We’re Hiring!

Monaro Dance Centre is looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Front Desk & Administrative Assistant Superstar to join our team!

This role will support the daily running of the studio through front desk customer service, communication and administration, helping create a welcoming, calm and well-organised environment for our students, families and staff.

We are searching for someone who:

🤍 Loves organisation and communication

🤍 Works well independently and takes initiative

🤍 Enjoys being part of a positive, child-focused environment

🤍 Has confidence using email, admin systems and ideally financial or accounting software (e.g. invoicing, payment systems or bookkeeping platforms)

📍 Afternoon-based front desk role (approx. 2:30pm–6:00pm, 2 days per week)

💻 Opportunity for additional admin hours

✨ Set the Scene is returning to Monaro Dance Centre, ready to build confident, creative kids!

Set the Scene is designed for students who love to imagine, create and express themselves. Through acting, storytelling, movement and performance skills, students develop:

⭐ Confidence and self-expression
⭐ Creativity and imagination
⭐ Communication skills
⭐ Stage presence and performance confidence

Whether your child loves performing or is looking to grow their confidence in a supportive environment, Set the Scene offers a fun and engaging space to explore their creativity.

Join Miss Emily and Brendan as they guide students through exciting activities that help bring stories to life and build skills both on and off the stage 🎬
