A Chihuahua commission!
Now, sometimes I find chihuahuas challenging and spicy, both in the drawing and the handling. They come from the same origins as jalapeños, habaneros and Escobar.

Mickey however, is a very good boy. Very much loved drawing this little pocket rocket for his wonderful mum.

A recent portrait of the best boy Alfred.

This little mate had the most beautiful expressive eyes, windows to his equally beautiful soul, which I just loved capturing on paper.

This is one of my Christmas commissions “Toby”.
Toby recently crossed the rainbow bridge but was a much loved Border Collie, with a huge personality who absolutely loved a good ball chuck.

My most favourite patient at work, Brindy the “Banana in Pyjama”.
This beautiful greyhound always astonished us with her lovely nature, resilience and fabulous wardrobe choices. 🍌
To make a little send off gift for Brindy and her lovely owners, including messages from the team, was pretty special.

My latest commissions!
Two beautiful Dalmatians, with mischievous characters. I loved drawing these similarly spotty hounds, while trying to capture their very unique and different personalities.

“Cookie” and “Peanut”
Both A3 Prismacolour on paper.

Commissions are open, so if you’d like to see your doggo personified on paper, please contact me!
Paper portraits are finished in a presentation folder, and there are also canvas print options available.

For International Dog Day, I thought I’d share my two best Red Dogs- Juliet, who was my first best mate and companion many years ago, and Fat Walt, who upholds the tradition and continues to be by my side, keeping me inspired.
