Katrina Mathers (The Wedge, Flipside, Footy Chicks) returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival with her first show in 23 years: Anything But The Dyson and Other Excellent Monologues. A series of excellent monologues about midlife mayhem. Expect a chaotic Dyson love-hate saga, menopause melt...

And as we come to the end of a marathon run, here's yet another wonderful, final, review of my show Anything But The Dyson and Other Excellent Monologues. Thanks Myron My of My Melbourne Arts!

"Mathers’ first show in 23 years, but you would not know it. She is completely at ease on stage, slipping seamlessly into character and impressions of doctors and newsreaders, with a confidence that suggests she has never been away.....perceptive.... warm, funny and moving performance, balancing candid comedy with scenes of genuine tenderness...beautifully realised." My Melbourne Arts

Only a few tix remaining for tonight's final show. 6pm at Trainscendence in Collingwood (enter via Budd Street and look for the fairy lights in the lane, that's the cute little bar. Aim to arrive at 5.40 as the show will start bang-on 6pm).

xx Kat

I'm blown away. This one has some spoilers. But I'm very grateful for yet another great review of my show Anything But The Dyson and Other Excellent Monologues. Thanks Michael Brindley, reviewing for Stage Whispers.

“The chief asset of Anything But the Dyson is Katrina Mathers herself. The material is good, and she makes it work via charm, energy, comic timing… she has the ability to transform herself, with a minimum of gestures, into other characters…. vibrant, very engaging performance… a cracking pace and plenty of light and shade”
