From the series *Home Mountains* - Hochvogel, the mountain that first, and still, impresses me most in the Allgäu Alps.

A peak with a mythical reputation in the region and a summit that demands respect. It simply had to be the first mountain in a new series that’s especially close to my heart.

*Home Mountains* is a collection of peaks that aren’t just close to home geographically, but close to my heart too. Quite literally my playground — and one of the reasons I’m still here, 10 years later.

has been an inspiration for me for a long time. Combined with the purchase of my new LF camera and my love of orchids, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to go out and practice. Especially after I saw the latest work Clyde has been working on.
5x7 with 4x5 reducing back with the 150 5.6 apo symmar - .bohemia 400 and souped in xt3 for 9 mins on the jobo cpa2

Experimentation - Finally the first test of the new series ‘home mountains’ as there are so many incredible mountains in my backyard I can’t decide on one. This is an experiment with a film I have not used much. shot on my 3d printed exploration camera. Here I am purely out scouting potential locations for ‘the shot’ or frame. I’m pretty happy with it and think this is likely the location for the shot. I just have something else in my head for the actual image. More to come. - a tranquil soul, was generous enough to give me enough of her time to capture a few beautiful images in the forest behind her house. A depiction of the quietness hiding a full heart in her chest.

This is a hand printed silver gelatin print on paper, printed in my darkroom. Shot on tmax400 @1600, hand developed by me in xt3 stock for 20 mins at 20 degrees.
