✨ Meet the Committee - Introducing Sally Armstrong ✨

The Show has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, with my family's involvement spanning several generations.
I have been Secretary of the Home Industries Auxiliary for around 18 years and currently serve as Cookery Steward. One of the things I enjoy most is learning what judges look for in award-winning exhibits. It's amazing how much attention goes into every detail, from a perfectly baked cake to ensuring the layers of a yo-yo biscuit line up just right!
Community involvement runs in the family. My mother Kathy Armstrong was Craft Steward for many years, my grandmother, Ethel Armstrong, was an inaugural member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and my grandfather, Lindsay Armstrong, served as Show Secretary. Today, the tradition continues with one daughter serving as the current Secretary and my other daughter is a Steward.
Some of my fondest Show memories are from childhood. Every year we would receive a new outfit to wear to the Show and enter the Miss Show Girl competition. Before heading to the showgrounds, we always stopped for a special photo in our new clothes. And, like many children of the time, one of the highlights was coming home with a treasured Cupie Doll.
The Show has given our family generations of wonderful memories, friendships, and opportunities to contribute to our community, and I am proud to continue that tradition.

Sally works hard for our show, and we’re incredibly grateful to have her. Thanks Sally! 👏🏼

The Hamilton Re-enactment Society are joining us again on show day! They’ll have a living history display, plenty of armour and weapons to come and have a look at, as well as sword fighting displays throughout the day. A very cool and interesting group! 🗡️ 🪓 🥀

A special shoutout to Ben Griek in his blow up horse for flying the flag for the CPAAS in the Community Cup Stampede at the Coleraine Races! 🐎
Unfortunately, Ben didn’t quite bring home the win this time around… but don’t worry, we’ll have him in serious training for next year! 💪🏼

✨ Meet the Committee - Introducing Neil Langley ✨

A local boy farming at Gritjurk, Neil holds many positions on our committee. He serves as our Shearing Steward, Vice President and is also a valued member of the Grounds Committee, helping to ensure the showgrounds are ready for one of the biggest events on our community’s calendar.

As Shearing Steward Neil plays an important role in organising and running one of our show’s most iconic competitions. His passion for agriculture and commitment to showcasing local talent in the shearing industry helps keep this much loved tradition thriving.

Whether he’s helping with planning, maintaining the grounds, or working hard on show day, Neil’s practical knowledge and willingness to get involved makes him an invaluable member of our committee.

We’re incredibly grateful for the time and effort Neil contributes to our show. Thank you, Neil, for everything you do to help make our show a success! 🐑🌾👏
