Once upon a time, a mysterious woman named Elara lived at Coads Corner.
Some say she protected lost travellers.
Some say she entertained local children with strange creatures, magical celebrations and impossible creations hidden deep within the forest.
For years, she was welcomed.

But over time, the Corner began to change.
The lanterns glowed long after midnight.
Children spoke of voices drifting through the reeds.
Travellers claimed the roads no longer led where they should.
And strange lights moved silently through the fog beyond the swamp.
Fear slowly settled over the town.

Then, one stormy Halloween night, Elara vanished.

By morning, the birds were gone. Strange symbols marked the mud along the marshland. Children claimed they heard voices in the trees whispering her name.
And the lights went out.
For many years, Coads Corner stood forgotten.

Until the lights returned.

Now every Halloween, the fog rolls in once more… and the Corner calls people back.
They come willingly, though few can remember why.
Not everyone leaves.
But everyone is changed.
