Mix It Up was a project of CHATS Productions Inc, that commenced in 2016 with a grant received from Northcott Disabilities and Fundability NSW then incorporated as MiX-TuB Inc in August 2018. Our purpose is to encourage young people living with a disability to engage in Community Theatre, and to give them the tools needed to achieve this. We provide training and performance opportunities that are
accessible, affordable and achievable. Using a strength-based approach our teachers set students individual tasks and work with the community to reduce structural and social barriers. We provide a safe and supportive environment where students are encouraged to develop their creative and expressive skills. Regular classes are fun, varied, and short and we do as many performances as we can organize. The students love to perform; and performance teaches them discipline, teamwork and self-confidence. We work closely with local theatre groups and service providers to help students access and more deeply integrate with the wider community. CLASSES ARE ON TUESDAY 2:30pm-4:30pm
