ARTIST CALL OUT // Mid North Coast Creatives - Join ‘Writing for Wellbeing’!

Artists across all disciplines - visual arts, textiles, ceramics, photography, installation, music, performance, and interdisciplinary practice - are invited to take part in ‘Writing for Wellbeing’, a collaborative community arts project led by local writer Alice Mai.

This initiative weaves together writing, reflection, and connection with the natural world. Each participant will receive an anonymously shared piece of writing to inspire an original artwork. These works, alongside selected writings, will be presented in a public exhibition in July 2026.

Send your expressions of interest to Alice at [email protected]

Even though I’m not a gamer, I can 💯 appreciate the talent behind Libby’s performance on Thursday night that used SOUND to create an emotionally charged journey of dance moves and gaming references - from PacMan on to contemporary gaming narratives.
Libby had to remember 1000 sound sequences for his performance tonight.

Shame so few people came to the event - I hope the earlier matinee at Jetty Theatre was better attended.
Did you attend either performance? Just curious.

We all know art is important.
Breakthrough ideas in sound (not music) are rare and such an inspiration.
I can imagine Libby being quite respected by serious rappers. And sound artists like Reggie Watts comes to mind.

When was the last time you considered sound, as a creative force, not in relation to music?
