The full reveal: I Need Your Breath - So Why Sever My Heart
On show now Salamanca Arts Centre as part of Art for Takayna exhibition hosted by Bob Brown Foundation and part of this year’s Dark M**o program
I Need Your Breath - So Why Sever My Heart is an immersive installation of two suspended glass lungs that breathe in alternating light. Their slow@pulsation depicts the fragile exchange between humanity and native forests - each dependant on the other’s breath for survival. Through illumination, rhythm, and glass the work speaks to interconnection, reciprocity and the shared respiration of life on Earth.
Created in response to the accelerating loss of native forests in Tasmania and globally, the work acknowledges a moment when ancient ecosystems are diminishing at an alarming rate. As forests fall, the delicate balance sustaining life becomes increasingly fragile, drawing us closer to our own demise.

Exhibition runs 12 - 21st June Hobart, Tasmania
