GIANNI INFANTINO HAS ONCE AGAIN TRAMPLED ON THE FOUNDING VALUES OF FOOTBALL AND THE POLITICAL NEUTRALITY OF THE ORGANIZATION HE LEADS. LET US REMEMBER THAT HE ALLOWED ISRAEL TO COMPETE IN THE QUALIFIERS DURING A GENOCIDE AND AWARDED TRUMP THE “MADE-UP” FIFA PEACE AWARD.

AND THEN... HOW MANY MEXICANS AND SOUTH AMERICANS LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES WILL CHOOSE NOT TO PUBLICLY SUPPORT THEIR NATIONAL TEAMS BY WEARING JERSEYS AND WAVING FLAGS, OUT OF FEAR OF RAIDS AND DEPORTATION?

MY OUTRAGE ALSO EXTENDS TO THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT, WHICH IS USING THE WORLD CUP FOR SPORTSWASHING, CONCEALING THE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS OF FORCED DISAPPEARANCES (130,000 DESAPARECIDOS).

THE 2026 WORLD CUP WILL ALSO BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN HISTORY: A WORLD CUP OF SOCIAL EXCLUSION, BENEFITING A TINY ELITE. TICKET PRICES ARE AN INSULT TO GLOBAL POVERTY.
