VELVET PARADE is a Melbourne/Naarm gothic rock and post-punk band featuring former members of Lime Spiders, Cold Harbour, Fraudband, Claire Birchall’s Phantom Hitchhikers and Matt Malone & The Holy Spirits.

Blending dark Australian gothic storytelling with atmospheric guitars, keyboards and dramatic vocals, the band draws inspiration from The Triffids, Crime & the City Solution and These Immortal Souls.

The band emerged on the Melbourne live circuit in 2023 and signed with esteemed label, Kasumuen Records. Their debut release, Ghost (2024), established Velvet Parade as a compelling new presence on Melbourne’s alternative music scene.

THE GOLDEN RAIL are relatively new by name but have a musical backstory stretching all the way to Perth in the sunny, indie 1980’s.

Their work has been praised for its reflective lyricism, melodic jangle-pop textures, and distinctly Australian sense of place and nostalgia.

The band first gained attention with the 2017 single “Oh My!” and later released music including Don’t Let Go Of The Light (2018), Sometimes When (2019),the full-length album Songs from Empty Streets (2022), and Satellite City (2025).
