Many of you will have already heard the heartbreaking news about Jack Keioskie. What was meant to be one of the happiest times of his life — celebrating his upcoming wedding with family who had travelled from Australia to be with him — turned into a nightmare when Jack was the victim of a violent assault in Calgary. He remains in hospital and faces a long road to recovery, with enormous financial pressure mounting on him and his family every single day.

Jack's parents are Vicki & Mark Keioskie of VK Vinyl — a family who has given so generously to our rodeo community through sponsorship, donated items and support for so many of us over the years. Now it's our turn to give back.

The Youth Rodeo Organisation and HAIKO & HUNA are joining forces to hold an online auction fundraiser to help Jack and his family through this incredibly difficult time — and we need YOUR help to make it a success.

🏆 Cloncurry's 18-year-old Cade Ferguson has recently returned from the United States, now holding the titles of Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding Champion at the Professional Youth Rodeo Association World Finals. 🏆

He also took out the Rural and Remote Sportstar of the Year at the North Queensland Sports Foundation Awards. 👏

🐂 Cade’s rodeo journey began at just 10 years old, when he claimed his first buckle for the Poddy Ride at Mount Isa in 2017.

Since then, the wins have kept coming, having competed in over five countries. 🌎

💬 Cade said it's important for young rural riders to have the opportunity to compete on the world stage.

"It's really awesome to go to those events and do as well as I did, and then to bring that back to the town to hopefully bring more people there," he said.

"It also shows that even though you're from a small town, you can be the best."
