🎶 What an unforgettable musical adventure! 🎶

Some of our very own Redland City Show Choir members just had the most incredible time participating in the iconic Festival of Voices! 🎤✨

Not only did they get to unleash their inner rockstars as part of the epic AC/DC Choir, but they also took to the stage to perform in the massive Festival Finale concert. The energy was absolutely electric! 🎸⚡

A huge shoutout and thank you to the amazing choir director Darina Chakarova (from the Adult Glee Club in Sydney) for leading the charge. Her direction and passion made the whole experience truly spectacular. 🙌

To all our Redland City Choir members back home: get ready! Our returning singers have brought back so much inspiration, fresh vocal techniques, and some great learnings to share with all of you. We can't wait to bring a little bit of that festival magic into our own rehearsals!

Hello everyone, and welcome to Term 3!

We hope you all had a wonderful, restful winter break and are staying warm. Whether you spent the time relaxing with family, traveling, or just catching your breath, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you back to another beautiful term of music-making with the Redland City Choir.

There is nothing quite like the energy of our first rehearsal back. As we dive into the second half of the year, we have some fantastic things planned for this term. Can't wait to share more with you.

Brrr! 🥶 Us Queenslanders don't do the cold very well...

Rugged up and pre-coffee, the Redlands City Show Choir braved the Hobart chill on Saturday morning! We shivered our way through warm-ups before our 10am pop-up performance at the bustling Salamanca Square market. 🧣🎶

Our secret to beating the freeze? A good old-fashioned vocal warm-up! 🎤✨

🎶 "Laughing is contagious, and it's advantageous, ha, ha, ha ha ha" 🎶

The Redland City Show Choir is hard at work! 🎶

They have been busy learning new songs as part of the Festival of Voices' A Ca****la Spectacular, and it is coming together beautifully.

Here is a little sneak peek from yesterday’s workshop at the stunning Hobart Town Hall. Just listen to them singing Cold Chisel’s iconic "War is Over" -- they sound absolutely amazing! ✨ It is so incredibly special to see choirs from all around Australia coming together to collaborate and create music for this performance.

We can't wait for the big show tonight to see the fruits of all their amazing hard work! 🎤👏

Guess what???? We’re so excited to share that the Redland City Show Choir is touring Hobart next week as part of the Festival of Voices. Led by show choir director, Karen Williams, we have a non-stop schedule of performances, attending master classes to better our vocal craft, and marinating in delicious sounds of singers from around Australia.

We found out last night that John O’Hara, one of the fabulous voices from will also be attending. Very exciting!!

The photo below is of some of the Show Choir members with John in front of the Your Song stage at Redland Performing Arts Centre. I can hear Naomi Price, the Artistic Director of Your Song describing the set as “just gorgeous” because it was “just gorg”!

We can’t wait to share our journey with you!! ❤️

We had an absolute ball sharing the stage, and the audience energy was just magic. 🙌
