Haven’t posted for a while but am working on a Large Abstract Commission. This usually leads to Road Blocks 😩😩🤪

Abstract art decisions are uniquely difficult because the artist (Iggy)must create without a physical roadmap, rendering every single mark a conscious, highly visible choice. (it’s effing scary and can take weeks of thinking)

Total responsibility: I must construct an entire visual world purely out of raw imagination and design principles.
The Result can sometimes look very simple along with. “Is it finished”

But today I took a step I’ve been thinking about for 4 weeks. And it only took 39 seconds to do 🤨

Aha! I can now reveal my latest commission for a good friend of my Daughter.
This is the Arno Bay Jetty and 3 wonderful young girls about to jump!
While the second is a monumental view of the jetty at sunrise in summer. (They love them ❤️) and I loved the experience

I’ve called it “red-hot rocks on fire”
And yes there really are rocks like those in the Flinders Ranges 😀🎨

So January 22nd 2025 I was working on County of Jervois Map painting and it’s sat for many months and many paint sessions 😣🥵🤪😡😤Until yesterday!
I covered it with Gesso and now we start afresh.
So today we have a warm top and later it will get a cool bottom section 😎🎨

Great that my latest sale has been given Gallery class lighting. The Owner loves it 😎❤️
