🪶 Have you stopped to say hello to our two Emus, Fraser & Ernie?

You’ll find these two at the back of our kangaroo arena, and they’re definitely worth keeping an eye out for on your next visit! 👀

Fun fact: Emus can’t fly, but they can run at speeds of up to around 50 km/h! They also have three toes on each foot, which makes those long legs pretty impressive. 😮

Next time you're visiting the kangaroos, make sure you wander a little further back and see if you can spot our emus too! 🦘🪶

🐸 Did you know Green Tree Frogs can actually drink through their skin?

They don't need to stick their heads into water like we do. Instead, they absorb water through a special patch of skin on the underside of their body, called the pelvic patch! 💧

Pretty clever for a little frog. 🐸

And if you've ever heard that loud "waaak waaak" coming from your garden after rain, there's a good chance a Green Tree Frog is nearby! 🌧️

Our kangaroos and wallabies are always up to something, and we reckon this little one has perfected the art of looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing 😂

🐢🐢 Follow the leader!

Our radiated tortoises look like they’re off on an important little adventure, but did you know these gorgeous tortoises get their name from the beautiful star-like pattern radiating across their shells? ⭐️🐢

They’re native to Madagascar and are considered one of the most beautiful tortoise species in the world. And judging by this little conga line, they clearly know how to travel in style! 😂

While one is catching up on some very important beauty sleep, the other has clearly decided that breakfast comes first! 😂🌿

We could watch these two all day, although we’re pretty sure Floss and CJ have mastered the art of taking it easy. 🥰

If you think your backyard lizard is big… you clearly haven’t met Gili 😂

Komodo Dragons are one seriously impressive reptile, reaching around 3 metres in length when fully grown. Native to a handful of Indonesian islands, Komodo Dragons are the largest lizards in the world and are powerful predators with an incredible sense of smell.

Gili has certainly earned his spot as one of the most fascinating residents here at Snakes Downunder! 🦎❤️
