Chameleon Touring Systems – Sydney

Chameleon Touring Systems is seeking a reliable Truck Driver / Factory Hand to join our team in Sydney. This position has become available due to the retirement of a long-term staff member.
Chameleon Touring Systems supplies professional entertainment lighting equipment to events and venues across Sydney and beyond.

The Role
This role involves transporting lighting equipment and assisting with warehouse operations, including:
• Picking up and delivering lighting equipment to and from venues
• Assisting loading and unloading trucks
• Assisting with general warehouse/factory duties
Both full-time and casual positions are available with immediate start available.

To be considered for this role you must have:
• A valid MR driver’s licence (HR/HC licence highly regarded)
• A good driving record
• Reliability and punctuality
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Oasis blasted into Melbourne and Sydney, with Lighting Director Graham Feast and Crew Chief Scotty Owen delighted to have Chameleon Touring Systems provide gear and crew.

“Chameleon has been great, and I couldn't speak highly enough of them,” said Graham. “I've known Graham Walker for over 25 years. He's very efficient. They're a really, really, really good team of lads, especially considering the size of the show to put together just for two load-ins. They absolutely smashed it."

Teddy Swims headlined the NRL Grand Final pre-show entertainment, delivering a performance that wowed both footy fans and armchair lighting critics alike!
For his tenth year as Lighting Designer on the prestigious event, Tom Wright was thrilled to collaborate with Teddy’s UK-based creative team, TAWBOX.
This year, Tom was pleased to have a healthy budget, crediting Tony Davies, Managing Director of Chameleon Touring Systems, for being “very generous — probably because he thought Sharks were making the final… which didn’t quite go to plan!”

Chameleon supplied crew and gear for Keith Urban's High & Alive Tour, with Lighting Director Ben Silverstein overwhelmed by the service he received!

We started with a few days of production rehearsals in Newcastle, followed by our first show there, and the Chameleon crew has been absolutely incredible. We supplied the lighting for Illuminate Adelaide's centrepiece show, Horizons Drone & Light Show. This production, an association with Adelaide Oval, AGB Creative, & KOJO, was lit by Toby Sewell.

Fresh off the release of their brand new album Supercharged, punk rock icons The Offspring toured Australia through May with Simple Plan in support.
Chameleon Touring Systems supplied the lighting, including 64 x ACME Lighting Pixel Line IP, 60 x GLP - German Light Products JDC 1, 36 x Martin Professional MAC Aura PXL, 58 x MAC Viper XIP, 3 x ROBE lighting BMFL FS, 5 x Robe BMFL Blade and MA Lighting International MA3 for control.
Lighting designer Jay Waddell readily admits he’s very particular about the details of his design - he tends to tweak and refine constantly - but reports that the Chameleon crew took it in their stride and were fantastic!

We were delighted to provide gear and crew for Kylie's Tension World Tour that started in Australia.
The show was spectacular, with bold colour choices and stunning screen visuals.
Lighting design was by Rob Sinclair and Ali Pike, with José Lorenzo and Matt Jones programming the show.
The rig included ROBE lighting BMFL Spots, Ayrton Dominos, Martin Professional MAC Viper XIP, CHAUVET Professional COLORado PXL Curve and Color Strike M, Claypaky Sharpys and MA Lighting International MA3 for control.
