🤍 Could You Spare a Day or Two in September?

September is our final month of the season, with the Don Roderick Gallery closing for the year on 4 October.

We're looking for a few more artists and Friends of the Gallery to help fill our September volunteer calendar. If you can spare a day or two, we'd love your help!

We're open 7 days a week, 9:30am–2:00pm, and every volunteer shift helps us keep the doors open and welcome visitors to our beautiful gallery.

Spend a day surrounded by local art, meet visitors from near and far, share the stories of our artists and enjoy being part of our wonderful gallery community. 🎨

Looking for something truly unique?

Take a look at these beautiful creations by Susan Larkins, who transforms recycled and vintage fabrics into wearable pieces with plenty of character.

From repurposed textiles to one-of-a-kind garments, there’s something special about giving beautiful fabrics a new life. 💚

Meet Cosette! 🧡

She's the newest addition to the Don Roderick Gallery, and she's got one job: standing out on the grass near our door so people walking past know we're open.

Being tucked away at the back of the Stock Exchange Arcade, it's not always obvious we're here; so at our last meeting, Sian, Susy and Diana put their hands up to fix that. Sian found the base and wheels, Diana sorted the ply and got a carpenter onto the cutting, and Susy brought the vision and did the paint job. Between the three of them, Cosette came to life.

She'll be out on the grass letting everyone know we're open 9:30am–2pm, 7 days a week. Come say hello to her, and to us.
