If you haven’t visited Paramoor you are missing out! Between the old working barn, the fabulous wine tasting and cheese platters there’s no nicer weekend afternoon 🤎 There’s also accommodation if your wine tasting becomes extended!

This gorgeous piece is called ‘Into the Wild’, a striking oil-on-canvas painting by talented local artist Natalie Waters.

Following Natalie’s very successful exhibition at The Shedshaker Brewing Taproom in Castlemaine, ‘Into the Wild’ is now hanging in the Barn at Paramoor, alongside a small selection of her other beautiful works.

Come by during September to experience these stunning pieces in person.

Getting the eye perfect is so important in a commission and the part of the horse I always come back to, adjusting slightly every time, putting it away for days and then looking at it again, sometimes adding or taking away the smallest brushstrokes.

It is how we best know our horses, their look, their temperament and emotion. The eye tells a story of who they are.

One of my favourite pieces, ‘Don Achille’ ~ 1m x 0.77m oil on canvas.

Don Achille was a Lusitano stallion I fell in love with when I lived in Virginia, in my twenties. He was fiery and smart and strong and he proved to be one of my greatest challenges.
In the months we spent together we became so very close and I have, for the rest of my life, thought of him and all the things he taught me.
Don Achille began my love of the Lusitano breed, something that is a reoccurring theme of my paintings. Horses like this have been a true gift.

He is available to view at The Taproom - Shedshaker Brewing and is for sale.
