Over The Moon Yoga and Dance Studios Since 1990, a yoga and dance studio in Castlemaine, Victoria. For 2.5 yrs to adult. Martyn.

It has been over 30 years since Edna Reinhardt established Over the Moon Yoga and Dance Studios in Castlemaine. Over that period the school has built up both a wonderful relationship with the local community and a committed and dynamic dance and yoga teaching team. OTM teachers constantly explore new ideas in their relative fields of yoga, creative dance, contemporary dance and ballet. Sharing ide

as about the art and method of teaching is important to the teachers and fundamental in bringing these disciplines into the lives of young people. Whilst OTM celebrates more than a quarter of a century in Castlemaine the culture of the school is in constant renewal as ideas and inspirations present themselves. We are delighted to introduce Marlena Raymond, who will be sharing Orff Schulwerk informed music at Winter School 2026!

Marlena is the Director of Over the Moon Studio, and has been immersed in music and movement since childhood through the Mangala lineage of creative dance.

She studied classical music at the University of Melbourne Conservatorium and at the Australian National Academy of Music, and holds a Level 1 Orff Schulwerk certificate.

Marlena brings a deep love of music, movement and creative exploration to her teaching, and we are thrilled she will be guiding dancers through musical play and discovery for Winter School.

Welcome to the last week of Term 2! A reminder - the last day of Term 2 classes is Sat 27 June, and first day back for Term 3 is Mon 13 July.

As Term 2 draws to a close, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful teachers, dancers (and their families!) for another term filled with creativity, growth and connection. It has been a joy to share the studio with you all.

Our final newsletter for the term went out this morning. In it you'll find some important information about invoicing and enrolment rollover for Term 3, along with a reminder that Winter School is approaching, with limited places remaining!

We wish everyone a restful and nourishing holiday break, and look forward to welcoming dancers for Winter School over the holidays, before the studio springs back to life for another inspiring term when classes resume in Term 3!

We are very happy to introduce Nemo Cahill, who will be teaching Creative Dance at Winter School 2026!

Nemo first danced at Over the Moon as a child in Edna Reinhardt’s creative dance classes, and it is a joy to welcome her back into the studio as a teacher!

She holds a Bachelor of Performance Studies, a Diploma of Education, and an Advanced Diploma of Rudolf Steiner Education. Nemo has taught creative dance across many settings and brings a love of storytelling, improvisation and folk-dance traditions from many cultures.

Nemo believes life is a circle dance, and we are delighted she will be sharing her creativity and warmth with our Winter School dancers.

We are so happy to introduce Paula Russell, who will be teaching Yoga & Creative Dance, Tap, Ballet and Choreography at Winter School 2026!

Paula studied Cecchetti ballet in Melbourne before completing degrees in Contemporary Dance and Primary Education at Deakin University.

She has spent many years teaching performing arts in primary schools and dance studios, as well as writing, directing and choreographing large school productions.

Paula brings warmth, creativity and a deep love of children’s movement and imagination to her work, and we are so pleased she will be part of this year’s Winter School.

We are delighted to introduce Helen Sandercoe, who will be bringing Drama to Winter School this year!

Helen has been teaching drama and directing theatre for more than thirty years, working in schools, universities and creative workshops across Australia and internationally.

Her workshops invite young people to explore storytelling, imagination and collaboration, while developing the skills to create their own performance pieces together.

Helen’s work centres on creativity, confidence and joy in the making of theatre, and we are so pleased to welcome her to Winter School! 🌙

It’s our pleasure to introduce another wonderful guest teaching artist joining us for Winter School 2026, Luca Romani!

Luca is an Italian Australian actor and director who works across theatre, screen and physical performance, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Over the Moon for Winter School this year. On Wednesday 1 July, Luca will be leading a special Drama session for our 8–12-year-olds.

Trained at Italy’s National Academy of Drama “Silvio D’Amico”, Luca has previously facilitated workshops with young people in schools and community settings – creating inclusive, imaginative spaces where confidence, collaboration and creativity can flourish.

We’re so excited for our dancers to explore Drama with Luca and discover the joy of bringing stories to life through movement and play!

It’s a pleasure to introduce another wonderful teacher joining us for Winter School 2026, the fantastic Amber Riches!

Amber will be teaching Junior Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Jazz on Tuesday 30 June.

Amber holds a Bachelor of Dance from Deakin University and completed Honours in Contemporary Dance at WAAPA with Link Dance Company. Alongside her performing work in Australia and internationally, Amber has spent more than a decade teaching dance at Stage School Australia.

She is deeply committed to inclusion in the arts and is co-founder of YourDNA Dance Collective, which supports Neurodiverse and Disabled dancers within Melbourne’s contemporary dance community.

It is a joy to welcome Amber back to Over the Moon for this year’s Winter School!

Winter School is a much-loved annual event held during the Winter school holidays. This year Winter School will be held Monday 29 June, Tuesday 30 June and Wednesday 1 July 2026. Winter School is an opportunity for 3.5 to 12 year olds to be immersed in a magical world of dance and the creative arts for 1, 2 or 3 days.

Children will explore genres including Bollywood, Bhangra (Indian folk), Indian semi-classical, Ballet, Musical theatre, Contemporary, Jazz, Drama, Orff Schulwerk informed music, Yoga & Creative Dance, Tap & Choreography! Winter School is an opportunity for dancers to expand their experience of dance and creative practices!

Children can come for 1, 2 or 3 days of magical immersion in a world of varied and engaging creative experiences. Places are limited, so please book your place! Please reach out to Over the Moon with any questions at (03) 5470 5061 or [email protected]
