Street Parade is 111 years old. But did not run during the war . The Show is 172 yrs this year having started in 1854 at Camp Reserve Castlemaine . thx to all concerned the Street Parade will go ahead start over near Sunken oval and go along Gingle Street to front gates at Camp Reserve yay 🎉30/10/26 6.30 pm more details to come
Safety and Cost and road closure are huge factors. For these events to continue it was simpler to not use the main Barker Street. People forget it is a highway to Daylesford and Ballarat plus all the smaller towns in between . Population growth. At least it can now go ahead. Thank you. Mount Alexander Shire .
