‼️ The North Coast Petroleum Casino Truck Show has been named a finalist in the Festival and Events category of the NSW Tourism Awards, putting the event in the running for two major State awards and further cementing its position as a national tourism drawcard for the Northern Rivers 🙌
🤩 The Truck Show is also a finalist in the NSW Business Awards for Outstanding Visitor Experience, after winning the category at the Northern Rivers Business NSW Awards.
👉 The dual State recognition follows a record-breaking 2026 event, which attracted an estimated 45,000 people to Casino and generated $8.319 million in spending across the Richmond Valley during the event period, an increase of 18.8 per cent on 2025.
💪 Visitors reported staying throughout the Richmond Valley and in neighbouring areas, including Lismore, Ballina, Grafton, Yamba and Byron Bay, demonstrating the event's wider regional impact.
🙌 CBA iQ data recorded 31,860 unique customers spending across the Richmond Valley during the 2026 event period, with visitors accounting for 46 per cent of all spending and 58 per cent of customers.
💲 Casino businesses alone recorded $3.228 million in card spending, while customer numbers in the township increased 23.1 per cent to 23,300.
🙏 The event also drew eyes from across social media with more than 7,000 new followers across the platforms and more than 3 million content views during the show. This was supported by $20,000 Flagship event funding from Destination NSW.
