Bringing back Beaumont Street Street Parties with a long table feast to launch Newcastle Fringe Festival with a BANG!

We here at Winterheat HQ are currently working on this awesome event - coming this Saturday!

That's a wrap!

It has been such an honour & we are simply overjoyed to have been entrusted with co-producing this key Newcastle event alongside Canvas Events Co

It has been months of pre-prod & hundreds (& hundreds) of combined hours of making & planning but we are so happy to have seen so many of the beautiful citizens of Newcastle lining the harbour having sweet, joyous times together. It was everything we had hoped for & we are so stoked.

The word is OUT! Fingers Crossed Creative and Canvas Events Co are joining forces to bring your NYE in NEWY to life!

We promise to bring you a locally-focused event that emphasises community spirit, creativity, and connection. FXC and CE are thrilled to be staging the event, set against the picturesque backdrop of Newcastle Harbour. The celebration will run from 5 PM to 9:15 PM, culminating in a breathtaking 12-minute fireworks display. The event invites participants to celebrate with the option to chill and enjoy or participate in active, artistic expression. There is something for everyone. With a highlight on inclusivity and creativity, NYE will showcase local talent and businesses, creating a memorable experience.

Slay, Queen!🛷🎄 We’re feeling extra festive after designing and manufacturing this sleigh for Santa and dropping it off at Santa's local workshop at Canvas Events Co today for its final decoration & beautification! We know Santa & his helpers get really busy at this time of year so we're v grateful to the big man himself for choosing us to help him. 🎁🎅

Look to the sky on Christmas eve and you might see it flying by (or you may be able to see it for photos at various locations in Newcastle over the coming weeks) 🌟

Here is what we have been working on here at FXC for the last little while!

🔥WINTERHEAT FESTIVAL // PACIFIC PARK NEWCASTLE // SAT 27TH JULY // 5PM-9PM 🔥

Here is the final event map - doesn't this look amazing?! & this isn't even everything!!

& event entry + all attractions are 100% FREE!

Here is a run down of what we have prepped for you:

1. WINTERHEAT “HOLLYWOOD” SIGN PHOTO OP
Sit up on our glowing neon moon surrounded by neon flames & snap a cool shot behind Winterheat’s answer to the HOLLYWOOD sign 😊

2. “WINTERTREATS” KOOK & CABARET STAGE
Allow MC Fox Pflueger to take you on a wondrous journey to a world where Acrobatics meets Opera, an award winning boot scootin’ Barbie doll meets a cabaret Moon Lobster, where exquisite Siren Song meets a massive all in massive guided drum explosion - & more!

Performances & interactive workshops on the Wintertreats stage brings the event a little touch of the wild & wonderful!

2a.“WINTERTREATS” PHOTO OP ARCH (another cute little photo op - there are heaps around TBH!)

3/4. “H’EAT STREET“ POP UP THEMED 100% LOCAL DINING ALLEY!
We’ve scoured Newy & assembled all your favourite local cafes & restaurants in a cool & vibey, pop-up food alley - based on bright, funky street food walking streets w/ a colourful neon twist!

5. FIRE PERFORMANCE ZONE!
A dedicated area for fantastical fire performances throughout the eve from the stunning Celestial Circus Co. & more!

6 & 9. CENTER STAGE +GRAND PUPPET SHOW & LANTERN PARADE ZONE
Bands, fire performances, a locally made chili eating contest & many more marvels grace the center stage, heart of the event. A full evening of wonderful programming culminating in “Luminous Creatures”- a MASSIVE giant puppet parade by Curious Legends, joined by a huge all in drum ensemble hosted by local drum legends Earthen Rhythms!

7/8. “WINTERBEATS” SILENT DISCO HILLTOP DJ BOOTHTasty beats pumped straight into your earholes by a stellar line up of local DJs. Set stunningly against a backdrop of sky on the hillside in an amazing next level LED panel & fire cannons DJ booth!

10. ALL AGES FUN ZONE - 100% FREE!

📛JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT! IMPORTANT UPDATE📛

Due to the forecast of some v high gusts & hectic winds this weekend we have been advised that we would very likely not be able to have any fires at our event!

Being a fire based event we have, unfortunately, had to make the decision to postpone the event to the following weekend so that we can deliver the full magic of this wonderful event.

The new date is:

SATURDAY 27TH JULY // 5PM - 9PM // PACIFIC PARK

All of the top tier excellent elements, acts & activations will still be exactly as planned & we sure hope you can still come!!

Please help us to get the word out (so no one ends up down at the park alone in the wind!) & share this post / let all your pals, family (&/or whomever else might be coming along with you) of this change.
